OUTBOUND (From customers)
Also referred to as a sending centre, is used to describe when items are registered to be sent to a destination. It involves the sender of an item and the process through which the item will get to the receiver of the item.
- CSR receives parcel from sender
- Input the following on the App to get the price;
- destination,
- item category & description
- weight as indicated on the scale
- declared value
- Discuss packaging if necessary
- Confirm as PAS or HD
- Communicate EDD (Expected Date of Delivery) and price (Inclusive of Packaging if applicable)
- OPEN & INSPECT content thoroughly (refer to prohibited items section)
- Input the sender’s and receiver’s details
- Indicate the amount of GMB used
- Ensure payment before saving record on App
- Process parcel for shipment; prepare parcel,
- Educate the customer on third party customer collection process
- Identify VICs (Very Important Cargo) and process on a different manifest
For local pick up (To CPS)
Operations staff;
- Shelf parcel by destination(s)
- Plan and coordinate shipments based on EDD
- Load shipment (driver & bus assistant must be available to assist with parcels loading)
- Create manifest
- Driver signs off on manifest
- Follow up and escalate exceptions
Outbound Through Passenger sitting vehicle
- Manifest and pack GMBs in MSB
- Confirm driver’s destination from the Terminal Manager/Operations Associate
- Handover sealed MSB to driver.
- Driver signs off on manifest
- Follow up and escalate exceptions
For Haulage; Gateway Officer (Operations Officer)
- Charge all haulages, uniform parcels, household properties and all electronics
- Get an approval from Station Managers
- Handover to CSR for payments
- Station managers to liaise with the corporate office for items above 100kg.
