Parcels in GMB

Direct Delivery- Parcels belonging to a destination are tripped directly from the origin to that destination (i.e. a parcel registered to Awka is tripped directly to Awka). Parcels registered and packaged with a GMB are mostly tripped directly to the end destination of the parcel if a vehicle loads directly from the Terminal/station to that end destination.

Indirect Delivery- Parcels belonging to a destination are tripped from the origin to another location or multiple locations before the parcel finally gets to the destination (i.e. a parcel registered at Ikotun is tripped to Lagos CPS, Lagos CPS trips the parcel to Abuja CPS, who then trips the parcel to Utako) 

Note: The history of the parcel would always give you information on the parcel movement and current location of the item(s).

Express Delivery- This is also referred to as same day delivery(1 day delivery) or expedited. Express delivery will apply when a parcel registered in the morning before the morning vehicles leave, is tripped to the destination of that parcel and is acknowledged on the same day the trip was created. 

Express Delivery is ideal for:

  • Sending urgent documents
  • Businesses who need to send goods to clients quickly
  • Anyone who needs to receive a parcel immediately
  • Travellers who want their luggage to meet them at their destination
